Hi all, i have some new pictures from today, so thought i'd share them... Unfortunately, the little russian blue essex doe died on saturday evening

The litter had all been fine up until friday evening when three looked odd, causing me concern. The little doe herself was very poorly, and two of her brothers looked weak, and thin. Although we did all we could, we lost the little girl, which broke my heart

we then had to focus on her brothers, who weren't looking so well. One of the brothers would take lactol from me, and after one or two feeds began feeding from his mum again. His brother would not take a drop from me and it was apparent that he was too weak to feed from his mum, too

. I really worried about the second boy, we thought we would lose him too, he looked so thin and weak
However, 10am sunday morning, he took a tiny bit of lactol from a syringe. At this point he'd earnt the nickname tiny tim. I persevered and fed him every two hours round the clock, right up until 5am yesterday morning, when a very sleepy me went into the rat shed and found tiny tim feeding from his mum by himself! After a few happy tears i went back to bed for an hours sleep, i was exhausted! We checked on timmy regularly yesterday and again through the night last night (Though not as often as every two hours, so i did get some sleep last night!) He is still feeding from his mum and is fast getting stronger

So, it's been an emotional time for us here, and timmy is a very special little boy. Here are the pictures of the six remaining kittens from the litter...
